The MAC Alluring Aquatic Lipsticks, Lipglasses and Lip Pencils Are off the Port Bow - Makeup and Beauty Blog
Beloved MAC Makeup Sirens of Alluring Aquatic…
Hey, ladies! I know y'all are busy reclining on the rocks and beguiling sailors with your songs and whatnot, but when you accept a spare minute, ideally some time before your new 32-piece Alluring Aquatic summer collection arrives on May 15, tin we schedule a quick briefing call?
I'd similar to discuss a major outcome I take with the v Lipsticks, five Lipglasses and ii Lip Pencils in the drove — specifically, I wish I could wear each and every one of them, like, all at the same time.
Frankly, I am jealous of the hydra, your mythical multi-headed pal, because he doesn't have to choose among the pearly nudes, neutral pinks, plummy bronzes and vibrant violets. Information technology's totally not off-white!
I, beingness a mere human (sigh), am relegated to wearing a single lip look at a time. 'Tis a Greek tragedy of epic proportions.
But information technology's not my fault! I have a weakness for nude lips, specially in smokey eye looks using eyeshadows in unexpected colors, like the shimmery blueish, light-green and plum Extra Dimension Center Shadows from the MAC Attracting Aquatic collection.
I love the femme fatale await of glistening eyes and glossy nude lips, and I tin can totally get that by lining my lips with low-cal nude What Comes Naturally Lip Pencil before filling them in with Lustre Lipstick in Siren Song (a pale sheer beige) or Frost Lipstick in Pet Me, Delight (a light shimmering mauve).
A layer of either the seductively sparkly Articulate Water or flossy nude Peachstock Lipglasses on top, and I, too, feel like a magical brute of the bounding main.
Oh! — and the pinks in this collection? Both neutral pink Matte Lipstick in Enchanted I and flossy rose Cremesheen Lipstick in Mystical are neutral enough to work with both warm and cool peel tones and perfect for a 24-hour interval at the part, whether you spend said days on sea cliffs singing enchanting songs or pushing paper at your desk (damn those TPS reports!).
I like both of the lippies worn either past themselves or with a touch of light bronzy pink H2o Deities Lipglass or plummy bronze Seducing Sound Lipglass on top, which makes them even more alluring.
And how about those big parties at the Parthenon? Well, when I need enough drama to party with Zeus and Athena, vibrant violet Cremsheen Lipstick in Goddess of the Sea, deep violet Lipglass in Modernistic Lure and soft burgundy Lip Pencil in Half-Red perfectly accompany shimmery statement eyeshadows.
Aye, MAC Makeup Sirens, I believe that you gals know where to find me, since I can hear y'all singing your songs of makeup seduction practically every single day. Have your people telephone call my people, and permit'south ready a time to talk.
Sooner than afterward, yeah?
Thoughts on the 11 of 12 MAC Alluring Aquatic lippies I've tried…
- Lustre Lipstick in Siren Song: This sheer shimmering beige has a retro feel. Not a color I'd typically wear on its own, considering I feel similar the calorie-free, frosty beige by itself can look a little likewise stark on my tanned peel, and then I like to layer it with one of the Lipglasses (specially Peachstock). Pale pretties, you could totally stone this! ($17.50)
- Frost Lipstick in Pet Me, Delight: Sometimes I have trouble with frosty lipsticks highlighting my lip flakes and lip lines, but I don't have those issues with this shimmering mauve. Information technology's supernaturally polish. ($17.l)
- Matte Lipstick in Enchanted Ane: If you have pigmented lips like I do, this mid-toned matte just might exist your perfect pink nude. The terminate isn't annoyingly flat, which I love, and the formula feels comfortable and non-drying. Definitely a keeper that I could wear daily. Don't miss this one! ($17.l)
- Cremesheen Lipstick in Mystical: This mid-toned creamy rose has just enough kick to stand up on its ain, but it's fifty-fifty more stunning with Seducing Audio Lipglass on top. If y'all're considering Mystical, consider taking the gloss home with you lot, too. Together the two are rosy-plum-bronzy magic. ($17.50)
- Lipglass in Clear H2o: The glitter in this shade is so enchanting that it could cause shipwrecks on account of swooning sailors. The tiny flecks of multidimensional pearl in pinkish, silver and imperial elevate it from your average glittery gloss condition to something truly epic. ($16.50)
- Lipglass in Peachstock: I may take accidentally practical this to my under-eye area (whoops!) because it looked similar concealer in the tube. But y'all don't get concealer lips when you wear this. The warm creamy nude (a true nude) looks kind of like Tom Ford's Sable Smoke Lipstick in gloss grade. Seriously frickin' beloved it. ($16.50)
- Lipglass in H2o Deities: It's as if this light bronzy pink is channeling NARS Sweet Dreams Lip Gloss. ($16.50)
- Lipglass in Seducing Sound: Pigmented bronzy plum perfection. ($xvi.50)
- Lipglass in Modern Lure: If you lot're gonna wear this deep violet with pink pearl, keep a lip brush and lip liner around. I don't listen the actress piece of work because I dear how it looks in photographs, but it'southward Drama with a capital letter "D!" ($16.fifty)
- Lip Pencil in What Comes Naturally: I line and make full in my pout with this light nude to cake out the colour of my pigmented lips. Smooth and comfy, this i'south actually handy when I want to wear lighter nude beige lipsticks and/or glosses. ($xvi.50)
- Lip Pencil in Half-Cherry-red: This soft burgundy liner goes cracking with plums, bronzes and violets. As far equally I can tell, it's the just re-promoted lip product in the Alluring Aquatic drove. ($xvi.l)
